Tangled Widdyweb of Deceit

Ann Widdecombe has recently published this picture on the right, here I am on the left, clearly it is not me but the Conservatives that have been visiting some kind of photo shop.

Apparently people believe these photos are "faked"

I must say that James was rather shocked to see his recent photographs included in an article from the Guardian's media supplement website here :

The Best Faked James Purnell Photos : Purnell's place in history

Though he was of course flattered by the attention his journeys have received, I must remind you all that these images are not faked. This is exactly the type of thing James was referring to in his various comments about truth in the media.

Regardless, I'm including some other photographs from his adventures (and a really nice painted portrait of James and a friend) - though I suppose some people will think these are fake too!

Purnell's part in Culture

People often don't realise the work James Purnell does behind the scenes within the field of Culture. Luckily, these rare images capture James in action.

Oops! Late again!

James Purnell was a little late to these historic events. Thankfully, someone managed to find these lovely photos which must have been taken just after he had arrived.

From Iain Dale's Diary: James Purnell Won the World Cup

Iain Dale: Purnell Won the World Cup

Iain Dale had this image of me winning the world cup, it was fortunate that he captured this, as I was slightly late.

Just some of my recent adventures

Some members of the public kindly submitted these photographs of recent events which I was slightly late for.

"Other photos still true" says Purnell

After recent accusations regarding photo manipulation, James Purnell has pointed out that this was not his own doing and was also "an isolated incident which should not bring any other photos into question".

It was recently speculated that the photographs of James and the Loch Ness Monster and of James as part of the Apollo 11 crew may have in fact been modified in some form of photo shop. As can be seen clearly in the photographs above, this is not the case.

DCMS Press Release.

"Ten years ago, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a media crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Stalybridge underground. Today, still wanted by the press, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... the Department for Culture, Media and Sport."
